Made Possible

Made Possible is a special PEDP series spotlighting the public servants, academics, and community advocates who rely on federal environmental justice tools and datasets to serve their communities.

These tools — now altered, defunded, or defunct — once made it possible to easily map neighborhood inequities, teach the next generation about justice, hold institutions accountable, and right the wrongs of the past.

Through personal stories and data-driven reporting, the series highlights those who use these tools to make the invisible visible and explores what’s at stake for communities when the American data infrastructure that sustains them falters.
